Job Summary

We now have an exciting opportunity for a volunteer communications manager to join ADC. Reporting to the head of storytelling, you will be responsible for ensuring a good flow of correspondence with employees, volunteers and external stakeholders to keep them informed of the latest developments at ADC and welcome their feedback.

The right candidate will oversee all internal and external communications for ADC through a range channels, ensuring our message is consistent and engaging.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a multi-channel integrated communications strategy for the organisation in collaboration with PR and Marketing targeting a variety of audiences
  • Manage the development of the organisation’s key messages and tone of voice – ensuring that there is a clear understanding of these messages internally and externally
  • Create and maintain communications guidelines to ensure messaging and tone of voice consistency across different teams and channels
  • Review content calendars for various channels to ensure that content is consistent with the organisation’s brand, messaging and tone of voice
  • Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as intranet and newsletter

 

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of communications practices, tools and techniques
  • Exceptional communicator with superior writing skills
  • Management experience leading communication teams
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Available to volunteer at least 7 hours a week
